I absolutely adore Alexa Chung. I remember watching T4's music festival coverage when I was 10 or 11 years old where I literally fell in love with her humour and, of course, her beauty and style. Alexa Chung's success is continuously growing, more recently since the launch of her book 'It' in 2013 which has managed to become one of the best selling style books of the year.
After scrolling through twitter the other day, I noticed Lisa Eldridge had actually recreated Alexa's Chung's signature natural "cat-eyed" look on Alexa Chung herself, so I thought I'd recreate it using different products for you today.

I'm a huge fan of this makeup look. The look doesn't take long at all to complete and uses minimal makeup products. I like how Alexa's makeup look is very natural, however still looks like you've made an effort with your makeup.

Watch Lisa Eldridge's recreation of Alexa's signature look (above!) where Alexa actually does some of her own makeup to show you exactly how she does it.
The look is very basic and involves simple everyday makeup products. The main features of this look are dramatic "cat-eyes" alongside a natural base and lip.
I started off by dotting a CC cream around my face. My favourite CC cream is by Max Factor as I find it suits my pale skin tone perfectly and offers high coverage to cover my old acne scars. I find this product blends better into my skin if applied using only my fingers.
Chanel Vitalumiere in the shade 30 was used on Alexa in the video.
I used Maybelline's Dream Touch Lumi Concealer in the shade Ivory under my eyes to conceal any dark circles. This concealer has yellow undertones which will cancel out any purple tones under the eyes. As my CC cream covered most of my blemishes, I only used a concealer under my eyes.
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC3 was used on Alexa in the video.
I covered my eyelid with 'Sidecar', which is a bronzy-silver eyeshadow. Alexa used Eyeko Me & My Shadow eyeshadow sticks, which she explained as being really easy to travel with and quick to apply. I don't own any eyeshadow sticks, so both eyeshadows I used were from my Naked palette.
Eyeko Me & My Shadow in the shade Taupe was used on Alexa in the video.
I also added 'Darkhorse', which is a dark brown shade, to the outer part of my eye to make them look more defined. I dotted on the shadow with the eyeshadow brush supplied with the Naked Palette and blended this out using a Real Techniques domed shadow brush.
Eyeko Me & My Shadow in the shade Chocolate was used on Alexa in the video.
The main focus of Alexa's signature look is her 'cat-eye' winged liner. In the video, she advised it's easiest to complete an eyeliner flick by angling it at 45 degrees. I found this tip very helpful when recreating her look and also found that using your bottom waterline as a guide can help when determining the angle of an eyeliner flick.
I used Soap & Glory Supercat eyeliner pen and I'm so surprised at how easy it is to apply compared to the traditional eyeliner nip and pot. The only downside to this product is the shade. I've tried other eyeliners which are blacker than this, but with two coats it develops into the prefect dark black shade.
Eyeko Alexa Chung Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner was used on Alexa in the video.
I brought together the eye look by adding a coat of mascara. Lisa advised to wiggle the mascara wand at the root of the lashes to give more volume and ensure every lash is coated.
I used Max Factor 2000 Calorie mascara in a waterproof formula. I think this is great mascara as it volumises my eyelashes and the waterproof formula helps keep my lashes curly all day. I rave about Maybelline The Falsies mascara all the time, but I actually think this mascara is definitely worthy enough to rank alongside the Falsies!
Eyeko Alexa Chung Eye Do Mascara was used on Alexa in the video.
Alexa mentioned in the video that she felt her eyebrows were quite sparse, so I filled the gaps of my eyebrows in with a Revlon eyeshadow in the shade Cocoa. I set them in place with Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in dark brown (my full eyebrow routine can be found HERE).
As the eye makeup look is quite dramatic and Alexa's signature look is very natural, I finished off the makeup look by applying a nude lip colour to my lips. I used Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the shade complex (my full review of the matte balms can be found HERE).
Rimmel Moisture Renew in the shade Nude Delight was used on Alexa in the video.
I hope you enjoyed this post, as I definitely had a lot of fun re-creating Alexa's look. If there are any other celebrities/beauty figures you would like me to re-create the look of, please let me know in the comments!
